- Stealth sprockets are the highest quality and most technologically advanced sprockets in the world. The secret lies in combining the durability of steel with the lightness of duralumin. Duralumin is predominantly used in the aerospace industry and has a slightly higher density than pure aluminum. Its tensile strength is approximately 11 times that of pure aluminum. Through hardening, duralumin achieves almost the strength of steel. This results in a lighter weight and greater durability. The center sections are manufactured with high precision on CNC milling machines and coated with a thick anodized film that prevents oxidation. Anodizing (electrolytic oxidation of aluminum) is an electrochemical process that transforms the surface of the aluminum workpiece into an oxide layer. The thickness of this layer can be defined, making the treated products wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant. Experience shows that Stealth sprockets last approximately three times longer than pure aluminum sprockets and are 50% lighter than steel sprockets. Ideally suited for both on-road and off-road use.
